Data SubjectRequests
Alion provides a single, unauthenticated channel for every data subject right granted by the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, the LGPD and equivalent privacy laws. Whether you have a registered account or you only ever received a single invitation email, the requests below apply equally to you.
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and a description of how we process it. We will respond within one (1) month. To submit a request, contact the Data Protection mailbox listed in our Privacy Policy and include enough information for us to find your record (for example, your public username or the email address you suspect we hold).
If anything in your record is incorrect or out of date, you can ask us to correct it. If you have a claimed account, you can edit your profile yourself. If you do not have an account, contact us and tell us what is wrong.
You can request the immediate, irreversible deletion of all data we hold about you. There is no authentication step and no waiting period. Two equivalent channels are available:
- One-click link at the bottom of every invitation email we send;
- The public erasure endpoint on this Site (a short form asking for the username or email you suspect we hold, followed by a confirmation link).
When you submit an erasure request, we delete your record from our operational databases and add an irreversible hash of your identifier to a do-not-re-index registry so that you are not indexed again from public sources.
Where we rely on legitimate interest, you have the absolute right to object. An objection produces the same effect as an erasure request and is processed identically.
If you have a claimed account, you can request your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (JSON). We will deliver the export within one (1) month.
You can ask us to restrict (pause) the processing of your data, for example while we verify the accuracy of a correction request. During the restriction, your data are stored but no longer used.
We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on data subjects. Any suggestion surfaced by our discovery tool is a non-binding hint; the hiring decision is always taken by a human employer outside the Service.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. In the European Economic Area, you can also address our EU representative listed in our Privacy Policy.
Erasure and objection are executed immediately on submission of the one-click link. Other rights are answered within one (1) month from the date we receive your request, with a possible extension of up to two (2) further months for unusually complex requests, in which case we will explain the reason for the extension.
