Overview
50Hertz is one of the four electricity transmission system operators in Germany, headquartered in Berlin and responsible for the extra-high-voltage grid in eastern Germany and Hamburg, which supplies about 18 million people. Part of the Belgian Elia Group, it builds and operates overhead lines, substations, the SuedOstLink and NordOstLink projects and offshore grid connections in the Baltic Sea while integrating a large share of renewable power. Hiring covers electrical and civil engineers, substation and overhead line technicians, offshore operations staff, project and construction managers, IT and Java developers and apprentices, via an Elia Group board also listing Belgian roles.
