Overview

The Asia Video Industry Association is a trade association for the video industry in Asia-Pacific, representing pay TV operators, streaming services, broadcasters, content owners and technology suppliers on policy, advertising and anti-piracy issues. It began in 1991 as CASBAA, the cable and satellite broadcasting association formed at the birth of pay TV in Asia, and now publishes research such as the Asia Video Industry Report and Asia Video Pulse and runs events, webinars and member committees. A board of directors drawn from member companies governs the association, and its Coalition Against Piracy works with regulators and platforms against pirate services and illicit streaming devices.
