CHR is a nonprofit behavioral health provider in Connecticut offering mental health, substance use, crisis, child and family, housing, foster care and primary care services, with its administrative base in Windsor. Founded in 1966 as a small counseling center, it now runs outpatient and community programs across Hartford, Windham and other counties, including mobile crisis teams, emergency department recovery support and opioid treatment, and is a certified community behavioral health clinic. It hires recovery support specialists, clinicians and clinical supervisors, registered nurses, housing staff and IT support professionals.
