Overview

CoreTissue BioEngineering develops medical devices derived from biological tissue using a proprietary decellularization technology to enable transplantation medicine without harvesting patients' own tissues. Its flagship pipeline is an artificial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) for reconstruction that aims to replace the need to harvest autologous tendon grafts and reduce complications such as dysfunction, numbness, and infection. The company targets surgical and regenerative medicine markets in Japan and internationally, addressing high volumes of reconstructive procedures that currently rely on autografts.
