Seychelles Financial Intelligence Unit

Headquartered in Mahé, Seychelles, the Seychelles Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) is the national statutory agency responsible for safeguarding the integrity of the country's financial system against money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF). Operating under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Act, the authority serves as the central national hub for receiving, analyzing, and disseminating suspicious transaction reports (STRs/SARs) and financial intelligence to domestic law enforcement bodies and international investigative partners. In addition to maintaining and managing the national beneficial ownership register, the FIU oversees regulatory compliance and supervision across designated non-financial businesses and professions (DNFBPs) and virtual asset service providers (VASPs), collaborating globally through the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units to uphold international financial transparency and compliance standards.
