FIRST ASCENT is a Japanese babytech startup that develops digital products and devices to support childcare. Using childcare big data from its app "Papattoikuji@Akachan Techou" (Swift Childcare/Baby Diary) it conducted joint research with the National Center for Child Health and Development and developed AI algorithms to analyze emotions in infants' cries. It also commercializes the "ainenne" smart bedside light for sleep training and offers services and tools for parents and caregivers in Japan.
