Five Colleges

Five Colleges, Incorporated is a nonprofit higher education consortium based in Amherst, Massachusetts, that links Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Its member campuses together count about 32,000 students, 2,500 faculty and 7,000 courses, and the consortium runs cross-registration, a shared bus service with the regional transit authority, joint academic programs and an online catalogue of some 100,000 works from the Five College museums. It also manages shared enterprise services and community engagement initiatives across the Connecticut River Valley on behalf of its members.
