State Bar of Georgia

The State Bar of Georgia is the mandatory professional association and regulatory body for lawyers licensed in Georgia, headquartered in Atlanta, which administers bar membership, continuing legal education and attorney discipline. It runs the Lawyer Assistance Program, the Clients' Security Fund, fee arbitration and the Young Lawyers Division, while its Office of the General Counsel handles grievances under the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct. Organised as a unified bar under the Supreme Court of Georgia and governed by a Board of Governors, it also runs the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, a pro bono resource center and the High School Mock Trial program.
