It operates two main business lines, multi-strategy hedge funds and private equity, managing long-term capital for institutions and wealthy families. The firm was founded in 2003 by former Brazilian central bank governor Arminio Fraga and was majority-owned by JPMorgan from 2010 before its partners regained control in 2015.
