Hastings Direct is a UK general insurance provider headquartered in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, selling car, van, motorbike and home insurance directly and through price comparison websites. Founded in 1996, it serves more than four million customers, is owned by the Finnish insurance group Sampo and runs large offices in Leicester and London alongside its south coast head office. It hires claims handlers and claims managers, pricing analysts and data scientists, cloud, security and test automation engineers, product owners and solution architects, plus legal, tax, finance and facilities staff.
