Overview

Helical Fusion develops steady-state fusion reactors based on the Helical Stellarator and aims to realize the world's first commercial steady-state fusion reactor by 2034 to create a sustainable energy source. It designs entire fusion reactors and develops elemental technologies, leveraging R&D members with extensive experience at national laboratories and work on the Large Helical Device at Japan's National Institute for Fusion Science, and has been awarded a Japanese government grant of $13.5M for high-temperature superconductor development. Helical Fusion targets commercialization of fusion power for utilities and industrial customers seeking low-carbon baseload energy solutions.
