Hunter Douglas is a manufacturer and marketer of custom window coverings, including shades, blinds, shutters, drapery and PowerView motorised shading, with its group headquarters in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The group, formerly the listed Hunter Douglas N.V., was taken private by 3G Capital in a deal worth about US$7.1 billion, and it sells through dealer networks and regional brands such as Vertilux in Australia, while Hunter Douglas Inc. runs the North American business behind this domain. It hires manufacturing, automation and industrial engineers, supply and demand planners, product managers, IT analysts and field technicians, with openings in the US, Mexico and Australia.
