Jump Trading is an American proprietary trading firm founded in Chicago in 1999 that trades its own capital across futures, equities, options, fixed income and cryptocurrency using automated strategies. It is unusually secretive even by the standards of its industry, publishes almost nothing, and competes on latency, research quality and infrastructure it builds itself, including its own microwave and fibre network routes. Headquartered in Chicago with offices in London, Singapore, Shanghai and elsewhere, it employs researchers, quantitative developers and low-latency engineers, and it also operates the crypto arm Jump Crypto.
