Its researchers work on recommendation, forecasting, natural language and generative models applied to the bank's own problems, including personalised customer guidance, fraud and risk detection, contact centre assistance and document processing, and they publish at machine learning conferences alongside that applied work. The group sits inside TD rather than selling to outside customers, and it recruits research scientists and machine learning engineers into the bank's Toronto operation.","industry":"Artificial Intelligence","segment":"Machine Learning","size":"51-200","founded":2016,"hq":{"city":"Toronto","country":"CA"},"links":{"linkedin":"https://www.linkedin.com/company/layer-6-ai","x":"https://x.com/layer6ai","github":"https://github.com/michael0402"},"hiring_now":false,"url":"https://alion.io/company/layer6","open_jobs":0},"pages":{"profile":"https://alion.io/company/layer6","jobs":"https://alion.io/company/layer6/jobs","technologies":"https://alion.io/company/layer6/technologies","salaries":"https://alion.io/company/layer6/salaries","visa":"https://alion.io/company/layer6/visa"},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":26614},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=26614"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=company%2Flayer6"},{"id":"company.list","title":"Companies by industry, country, size, technology and hiring","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per company in a list","note":"companies like this one: the same industry segments, technologies, country and size","call":{"mcp_tool":"similar_companies","arguments":{"company":26614},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/similar_companies?company=26614"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.list&for=company%2Flayer6"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":26614},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/search_jobs?company=26614"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=company%2Flayer6"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"company/layer6\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=company%2Flayer6"}],"html_url":"https://alion.io/company/layer6","json_url":"https://alion.io/company/layer6.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-17T04:36:24Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":6012,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-18T00:00:00Z"}}}
