Overview
Mila is the Quebec artificial intelligence institute and one of the largest concentrations of deep learning researchers in the world. Founded by Yoshua Bengio, it brings together academics and students from several Montreal universities and hosts industrial research partnerships alongside its academic programme. The institute is one of the three centres of the Pan-Canadian AI Strategy and runs applied projects in health, climate and responsible artificial intelligence; its alumni now lead research groups at laboratories and universities across the world.
