Montefiore New Rochelle

Montefiore New Rochelle is a community teaching hospital and medical village in New Rochelle, New York, serving southern Westchester County with acute hospital care, an outpatient health center, the Schaffer Extended Care Center, rehabilitation through Burke and home care services. Opened in 1892 as New Rochelle Hospital, it joined the Bronx-based Montefiore Health System in 2013 after the Sound Shore bankruptcy, is affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and hosts the Montefiore School of Nursing. It hires nurses, physicians, laboratory and imaging technologists, therapists, patient care coordinators and administrative staff.
