The National Bank of Cambodia is the country's central bank and the operator of the Bakong payment system. Bakong is a blockchain based interbank platform that lets customers of any participating institution transfer money instantly. The system has made Cambodia one of the most cited examples of central bank led digital payment infrastructure.
