NEFCO, the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation branded as the Nordic Green Bank, is an international financial institution that provides risk capital for green projects. It offers loans, equity and grant-funded facilities to small and medium-sized projects that cut emissions, improve energy efficiency and manage water and waste, notably in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. NEFCO was established in 1990 by Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and is headquartered in Helsinki.
