INION RAS

The Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences, known as INION, is a research institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences created in 1969 on the basis of the Fundamental Library of Social Sciences and based in Moscow. It is the largest Russian centre of scientific information in the social sciences and humanities, maintaining bibliographic databases and a major research library. The institute carries out its own research programme, publishes academic journals and abstract collections, and organises conferences and seminars in law, philosophy, history, religious studies and area studies.
