Portugal Ventures is a Portuguese public venture capital firm that invests in startups with international growth potential. It backs early-stage companies in digital technology, engineering and manufacturing, life sciences and tourism, mainly those based in Portugal. The firm was created in 2012 through the merger of several state-owned venture capital companies, is now part of the Banco Portugues de Fomento group and is headquartered in Porto, Portugal.
