Sierra Nevada Corporation is a privately held American aerospace and defence contractor founded in 1963 and bought in 1994 by Fatih and Eren Ozmen, who still own it. It modifies and integrates special mission aircraft for the United States military and allied governments, builds navigation, communications and electronic warfare systems, and holds the contract to convert Boeing 747 airframes into the next presidential aircraft under the Survivable Airborne Operations Center programme. Headquartered in Sparks, Nevada, the company spun out its space business as Sierra Space in 2021 and remains one of the larger privately owned defence integrators in the country.
