You will work closely with experienced traders and technology teams across the firm, helping ensure the reliability and performance of our trading systems.\nThis is a hands-on role for a hardworking, self-motivated individual who enjoys solving problems, works well under pressure, and takes ownership of technical and operational challenges in a fast-paced trading environment. You will gain exposure to exchange-traded financial markets, trading infrastructure, and the technology that supports our business.\nWhat you’ll do:\nProvide first- and second-line technical support to traders and employees across the firm.\nPerform real-time monitoring and support of trading applications, with secondary responsibility for monitoring technical infrastructure.\nMonitor proprietary applications, exchange connectivity, and trading systems, identifying, investigating, and escalating issues as appropriate.\nTroubleshoot technical and operational problems to minimize disruptions to trading activities.\nDevelop an understanding of trading workflows, exchange operations, and the trade lifecycle to support effective problem resolution.\nIdentify opportunities to improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and support processes through automation, AI, and other technologies.\nCommunicate effectively with traders, technology teams, and other internal stakeholders across the firm.\nWhat you’ll need:\nUniversity degree\n2 or more years of relevant work experience.\nGeneral understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.\nBasic SQL knowledge.\nFamiliarity with Python, PowerShell, or other automation tools is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is more important.\nAn interest in financial markets and trading technology; familiarity with exchange-traded products, trading systems, or trade lifecycle processes is advantageous.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in time-sensitive situations.\nA proactive, self-starting approach and willingness to take ownership of issues.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.\nAbility to occasionally lift or move IT equipment weighing up to 25 kg, where appropriate and in accordance with safe handling procedures.\nWillingness to work an early schedule, with occasional flexibility outside regular hours to support global trading operations.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to our Chicago headquarters for training and collaboration.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nBenefits Highlights\nGelber Amsterdam offers a wide range of benefits to full-time employees.
