As experts in healthcare IT experts, Apex is committed to building systems for healthcare organizations to seamlessly communicate and exchange data across different systems and devices.\nSummary:\nThe Software/Data Engineer develops, integrates, and sustains software applications, databases, data collection platforms, and interoperability solutions supporting military hearing research, public health initiatives, and clinical implementation programs.\nRemote (U.S.) with occasional travel.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Job Functions:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications. \nDevelop and maintain databases and data collection systems. \nSupport interoperability between healthcare and operational systems. \nDesign automated workflows and reporting solutions. \nDevelop APIs and interfaces supporting clinical and research applications. \nSupport software lifecycle management activities. \nImplement cybersecurity controls and compliance requirements. \nSupport analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence initiatives. \nPrepare technical documentation and user guides. \nSupport evaluation and deployment of emerging technologies. \nQualifications\nNecessary Skills and Knowledge:\nPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills. \nPossess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. \nPossess excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience\nMinimum two (2) years of software engineering, systems engineering, or data engineering experience.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a favorable Government suitability determination.\nAbility to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance if required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting DHA, DoD, VA, or federal healthcare systems. \nExperience with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR. \nExperience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or enterprise databases. \nExperience supporting MHS GENESIS, DOEHRS-HC, ECAA, JHASIR, or similar systems. \nExperience developing research data collection platforms. \nExperience with Azure, AWS, or cloud-hosted environments. \nExperience developing analytics dashboards and reporting tools. \nExperience implementing automation, AI-assisted processes, or machine learning solutions. \nFamiliarity with NIST 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and DoD cybersecurity requirements. \nExperience supporting geographically dispersed teams, hybrid work environments, remote operations, or nationwide field activities. \nPreferred candidates will have current or prior experience supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Hearing Center of Excellence (HCE), National Military Audiology and Speech Pathology Center (NMASC), Defense Centers for Public Health (DCPH), Military Health System (MHS), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), military treatment facilities (MTFs), hearing conservation programs, auditory readiness initiatives, or other military health and public health programs.\nPay and Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $145,000.00 annually.\nAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
