You'll oversee carrier EDI and API integrations, improve connectivity between systems, and identify opportunities to eliminate manual steps throughout the shipping process.\nOur goal is to create a seamless, automated experience where shipments can be rated, tendered, tracked, documented, and invoiced accurately with as little manual intervention as possible.\nYou'll work closely with our LTL operations, technology, pricing, procurement, and carrier partners to strengthen integrations, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement. You'll also help identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including workflow automation, RPA, and AI, to make our processes more efficient.\nWe're looking for someone who understands the complexities of LTL transportation, enjoys working through technical challenges, and can turn opportunities for improvement into real results.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead LTL Carrier Integrations\nManage LTL carrier EDI and API integration projects from initial planning and requirements through testing, implementation, and ongoing support.\nOversee carrier connections that support rating, dispatch and pickup requests, shipment tendering, tracking updates, proof of delivery, bills of lading, and freight invoicing.\nPartner with carrier IT and EDI teams to develop, maintain, and improve EDI maps and API specifications.\nMonitor integration performance and establish KPIs to measure connection reliability, accuracy, and automation.\nServe as a primary technical contact for carrier integration issues, managing escalations, system changes, and credential or certificate renewals.\nIdentify recurring connection issues and work with carrier partners to implement long-term solutions.\nImprove LTL Pricing & Rating Accuracy\nEnsure accurate LTL rating across MODE's TMS and customer portals, including base rates, discounts, freight classifications, FAK rules, fuel surcharges, and accessorials.\nCompare quoted rates against carrier invoices and investigate discrepancies to identify root causes.\nWork through rating issues related to tariffs, freight class, dimensions, density, accessorials, reweighs, and reclassifications.\nPartner with Pricing and Procurement to load, test, and validate tariff and contract updates, including density-based pricing and NMFC classification changes.\nSupport Customer Connectivity & Integration Solutions\nProvide technical guidance and LTL expertise during customer integration projects, partnering with Implementation, Sales, Account Management, and Onboarding teams.\nHelp evaluate customer requirements, understand existing shipping workflows, and recommend integration solutions and best practices.\nIdentify opportunities to optimize customer workflows and improve the exchange of order, rating, tracking, and invoice information between systems.\nAssist with troubleshooting customer-facing integration issues and work with the appropriate teams to identify and resolve root causes.\nProvide input on implementation requirements and timelines to help ensure successful customer integrations.\nDrive Automation & Continuous Improvement\nLead initiatives that reduce manual work across LTL and Parcel workflows, including quoting, booking, dispatching, tracking, document retrieval, exception handling, and freight audit.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes through automation, system enhancements, and better integration capabilities.\nPartner with Technology and Development teams to define business requirements, prioritize enhancements, and evaluate completed solutions.\nHelp shape the future of MODE's customer portals by recommending self-service features and capabilities that support more automated LTL operations.\nEstablish and monitor shipment touch-rate KPIs, setting measurable goals to reduce manual intervention quarter over quarter.\nEvaluate emerging technologies such as RPA, workflow automation, AI-assisted document capture, and integration platforms.\nRecommend technology solutions and build-versus-buy opportunities that support efficiency, scalability, and business objectives.\nApply structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to improve integration accuracy and overall operational performance.\nStay current on LTL industry standards, carrier technology developments, API adoption, and NMFC updates.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
