These positions provide support to individuals in their local communities, focusing on enhancing independence, social skills, and community integration. Staff will assist individuals in planning activities, exploring personal interests, and encouraging participation in new experiences. While services are primarily community-based, occasional in-home support may be provided based on individual preferences.\nYou will support the individuals served in the following ways:\nProvide community-based support focused on skill-building, engagement, and independence\n\nAssist with transportation in the community.\n\nAssist with in house, personal support services if needed.\n\nSupport individuals in accessing and participating in recreational, social, and volunteer opportunities\n\nHelp set and work toward personal goals, with regular progress tracking\n\nBuild positive, respectful relationships that empower the individuals served\n\nMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to agency standards and DDA requirements\n\nFollow all safety protocols while working in the community.\n\nServe as a positive role model and advocate for inclusion and personal growth\n\nMake phone calls and drive the individuals we serve to appointments, meetings, events, etc.\n\nEncourage individual skill development and work toward community integration.\n\nDevelop meaningful relationships and connections with your clients to make them feel cared for and included in the community\n\nAttend continuing education courses, complete assigned trainings, and obtain additional certifications as the job requires\n\nBe a compassionate, patient, and encouraging direct support professional at all times; you are a caregiver, cheerleader, and advocate rolled into one, and your work can change the lives of many for the better\n\nPosition Details:\nJob Type: Part Time Weekday Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm.\nPay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour\nLocation(s): Pikesville\nWe have multiple schedules available both full and part time.\n***This is a community-based role. Work primarily takes place in the individual's local community, with occasional in-home support based on individual preferences.***\nNote: Our administrative office is located in Windsor Mill, MD.
