We are growing rapidly from 70 to over 100 employees, with a significant part of the team dedicated to developing, industrializing and mass-producing space propulsion systems based on new concepts.\nYour role:\nThrustMe ThrustMe is looking for an Embedded Electronics / Spacecraft Avionics Engineer (M/F) with strong skills across the entire electronics development cycle, from circuit design through qualification.\nThis position is within the Innovation Team, where you will solve problems without established solutions, build and test your ideas, and use the results to improve designs. This requires creativity, sound engineering judgment and the ability to work independently when requirements are still evolving. This role suits an engineer who enjoys open-ended development. You will help define the approach to unfamiliar problems while following applicable engineering and test procedures.\nYou will develop embedded electronics for propulsion systems, where circuits must deliver high performance and reliability under the extreme conditions of space. You will take early prototypes through testing and refinement to flight-ready designs.\nMain tasks and responsibilities\nDefineelectronics architecture and develop subsystems that meet electrical, thermal, electromagnetic compatibility and radiation tolerance requirements.\n\nDesign analog, digital, power and sensor interface circuits, including schematics and PCB layouts, and support prototype manufacturing.\n\nDevelop and debug embedded firmware for hardware control and testing.\n\nPerform circuit simulations and analyses to guide design decisions.\n\nBring up and debug prototype boards, investigate failures and iterate through hands-on testing.\n\nSelect components and coordinate prototype sourcing and fabrication with suppliers.\n\nPlan, execute and document development and qualification tests.\n\nCollaborate with the Product Team to turn validated prototypes into repeatable, production-ready designs.\n\nSkills and qualifications\nRequired skills and experience\nMaster's degree or equivalent in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems or a related field.\n\nAt least 3 years of relevant industry experience.\n\nExperience taking embedded electronics through the full development cycle, from concept to tested hardware.\n\nSolid understanding of analog, digital, power and sensor interface electronics.\n\nAbility to develop and debug embedded firmware.\n\nStrong hands-on testing and debugging skills using laboratory instruments.\n\nProficiency in schematic capture, PCB design and circuit simulation tools.\n\nEvidence of independently solving unfamiliar engineering problems and taking responsibility for the outcome.\n\nUseful additional experience \nSpace electronics development and qualification, including EMC testing and radiation effects on electronic components.\n\nVacuum technology, fluidics, chemistry or precision mechanisms.\n\nDesign for manufacturing and transition to production.\n\nPersonal engineering projects or other hands-on work that demonstrates curiosity and initiative.\n\nHow you work ?\nYou turn ideas into working circuits and embedded systems. You know relevant design standards but can develop a sound approach when no established solution exists. You combine analysis with hands-on testing, question assumptions and refine your designs based on measurements.
