The best is yet to come!\nWhy you want this job\nAs a Senior Backend Software Engineer at SeekWell, you'll collaborate with a team of engineers to develop, maintain, and support the backend services and internal applications that power our business. You'll work with technologies including C#, ASP.NET Core, GraphQL, and RESTful services while using AI coding agents as part of your day-to-day development process. You'll have the opportunity to independently solve technical challenges, contribute to production systems, and collaborate closely with engineers and product managers in a Kanban-based environment.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop and maintain backend platform services and internal applications, including C#, ASP.NET Core, GraphQL, and RESTful services.\nUse AI coding agents as part of your daily development workflow while evaluating generated code for correctness, quality, and maintainability.\nInvestigate technical issues, troubleshoot production applications, and develop effective solutions.\nDesign, build, and maintain integrations with third-party services.\nWrite and maintain comprehensive automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.\nParticipate in code reviews, pull requests, and CI/CD processes to support reliable production releases.\nIndependently deliver projects or work collaboratively with other engineers, contributing to the team's Kanban workflow and partnering with the Product Manager.\nSupport production systems through participation in an on-call rotation, including off-hours, weekends, and holidays.\nWhat you'll need\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend development fundamentals.\nExperience developing, maintaining, and supporting production applications and backend services.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.\nExperience using AI coding agents in day-to-day software development, including the ability to independently evaluate and validate their output.\nUnderstanding of software development best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, and application quality.\nAbility to independently complete projects, take ownership of your work, and contribute to the success of the broader engineering team.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.\nCommitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and incorporating constructive feedback.\nAbility to work in a flexible hybrid environment, including time in our Draper, Utah office, and participate in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7 production systems.\nWhy we will love you\nStrong hands-on experience with C# and ASP.NET Core.\nExperience developing GraphQL services, particularly with Hot Chocolate GraphQL Server.\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, T-SQL, AWS, containerization, or Application Insights.\nExperience mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge with teammates.\nUnderstanding of customer needs and business requirements, with the ability to connect engineering decisions to broader business goals.\nA team-oriented mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and enthusiasm for learning and improving how software is developed.\nPerks\nFree eye exams for your entire family\nDeep discounts on lenses, glasses, and other services\nAmazing healthcare coverage\n401(k) match\nFlexible PTO\nTuition reimbursement program\nIn-house restaurant with highly discounted meals (Steak dinner under $6)\nFree snacks, ice cream, and drinks every day\nFull onsite gym\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
