The candidate will work cross functionally with Chemistry, Microfluidics, Custom Plastic Consumables, Assay Development, and Production teams to develop, optimize, validate, and transfer new chemistries and processes required to produce 10x reagents and consumables. Candidates must have a broad working knowledge of chemical processes and analytical methods related to antibody conjugates, polymers, surfactants, or surface chemistry and experience in the use of custom instrumentation. Hands-on experience in process development, scale-up, process implementation and validation in a commercial manufacturing facility is a plus.\nIndividuals applying for this position must be self-starters, strategic thinkers, action driven, flexible in changing direction and methods, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, succeed in communicating with all levels within the organization and provide immediate contribution.\nWhat you will be doing:\nDevelop a deep understanding of the interplay between chemistry, microfluidics, production processes, and molecular biology to identify the root cause of product deviations, troubleshoot them, and identify and implement solutions.\n\nPlan and execute experiments, maintain an accurate record of experimental details, in-depth data analysis, and clear communication of these results through documentation and presentations.\n\nWrite protocols, develop procedures, and maintain accurate records.\n\nCommunicate and present results clearly and contribute data for making critical design decisions\n\nJob may require 10% international travel\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nPh.D. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry and 0-3 years of industry experience.\n\nAbility to integrate a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines.\n\nAbility to design meaningful experiments and in-depth analysis of results. Experience using statistical tools for process control.\n\nGood documentation skills and ability to communicate experimental design, results and plans through presentations and reports.\n\nUnderstanding of physical chemistry principles to scale up chemical manufacturing processes.\n\nAbility to develop, validate and transfer processes to manufacturing or OEM vendors.\n\nStrong collaboration and communication skills.\n\nDesire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization, with a compelling technology, and taking products and processes to the next level.\n\nPreferred Skills & Qualifications:\nExperience working with automation equipment or custom instrumentation.\n\nDeveloped plastic consumables for microbiology applications particularly microfluidic devices.\n\nProficient in statistical analysis for process control and design of experiments.\n\n#LI-MH1\nBelow is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.
