Candidates must have hands-on experience with 10x single cell assays, a strong foundation in NGS and molecular biology techniques, and the ability to apply that knowledge to troubleshoot complex systems.\nWhat you will be doing\nPerform standard and custom experiments to develop, test, and improve single cell assay workflows, including sample processing, library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis\nPrepare high-quality NGS libraries using established molecular biology protocols\nContribute to the design, testing, and troubleshooting of new assay components and existing systems\nMaster the use of existing tools and defined protocols, and identify opportunities to improve them\nConceive of and develop new tools and methods to support assay development\nAnalyze and interpret experimental data to draw conclusions and determine next steps\nBegin to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Support, and Marketing to advance assay development priorities\nContribute to project plans and sub-task timelines for assigned workstreams\nMinimum Qualifications\nB.S./M.S. or Ph.D. in chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field\nB.S. with 4+ years, M.S. with 2+ years, or Ph.D. with 0-2 years of relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience\nHands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation\nDirect experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and standard molecular biology techniques\nExperience with experimental design and statistical data analysis\nAbility to perform complex multi-step experiments with diligent attention to planning, organization, hands-on technique, and record keeping\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities\nDesire to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience running 10x single cell assays\nExperience working with challenging clinical sample types (e.g., FFPE tissue, primary tumor cells, low-input samples)\nFamiliarity with the product development lifecycle, including new product introduction and formal product testing (e.g., verification and validation)\nBelow is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
