If you are a self-starter who is passionate about building and operating scalable and reliable IT infrastructure and is excited to work in a highly collaborative environment alongside a diverse team of experts every day, join us at 10x Genomics.\nWhat you will be doing\nDesign, build, maintain and monitor our mission-critical Windows enterprise infrastructure systems and services across global footprint.\n\nManage our Global Active Directory & Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) environment.\n\nMaintain a secure and stable IT environment; Deploying patch management software, policy enforcement, systems hardening and systems / software upgrades.\n\nManage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.\n\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation of system design, implementation and configuration.\n\nParticipate in a shared operational on-call rotation to support our production environment.\n\nLead post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement long-term preventative fixes.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n5 years IT experience with managing Windows Infrastructure and core services such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Endpoint management, DNS and DHCP in a production environment.\n\nExtensive experience with virtualization technologies and hypervisors, such as VMware ESXi/vCenter and Proxmox VE.\n\nExperience with system architecture and building production environments on AWS.\n\nExperience with enterprise backup, disaster recovery, alerting and monitoring solutions.\n\nStrong understanding of encryption, data security and patch management best practices.\n\nExperience scripting in Powershell, Bash or Python.\n\nExperience with IaC and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform) to automate system provisioning.\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\nWorking knowledge of Linux such as regular day-to-day sysadmin responsibilities (build systems, management, permissions, network mounts).\n\nFamiliar with Identity Access & Management tools (Okta, SAML2.0 / OIDC protocols).\n\nFamiliar with Microsoft Intune for unified endpoint management and policy enforcement.\n\nStrong analytical and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\n\nBelow is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
