That pedigree shapes how we think, how we work, and what we expect from the people who join us.\nThe role\nWe build high-load platforms for industries where performance and reliability aren't negotiable: energy systems optimising distributed assets in real time, electric vehicle operating systems, and event-driven platforms processing serious data volumes. We need a senior engineer with deep Go and strong TypeScript who's at home in distributed systems and comfortable owning delivery end to end.\nYou'll design and build backend services in Go, work across the stack in TypeScript and React when the feature demands it, and make the architectural calls, microservices boundaries, event flows, data consistency, that determine whether these systems hold up under load. You'll work directly with a small senior team and have real influence over how things get built.\nWhat you will do\nDesign and build high-performance backend services in Go: APIs (REST/gRPC), integrations and core business logic\nBuild event-driven architectures and data pipelines (Kafka or similar) for high-volume, real-time workloads\nWork across the stack when needed: TypeScript, React/Next.js frontends and Node.js services\nOwn integrations with third-party systems: OEM devices, market data, enterprise platforms\nApply sound architectural patterns, Clean Architecture, DDD, CQRS/Event Sourcing, where they earn their keep\nDeploy and run services on Kubernetes with proper monitoring, and support what you ship in production\nWhat you bring - Required\n5+ years of professional engineering experience, with strong production Go\nStrong TypeScript and React capability. You're genuinely fullstack when the work calls for it\nDeep experience with distributed systems and microservices: service boundaries, messaging, data consistency\nProduction experience with event streaming (Kafka or equivalent) and high-load systems\nOwnership of full development cycles: conception, architecture, delivery, production support\nStrongly preferred\nExperience leading or mentoring engineers, with strong code-review instincts\nKubernetes, Docker and cloud-native operations (AWS preferred)\nExperience with authorisation and access-control systems (ABAC/RBAC) in multi-tenant platforms\nFlex market and energy systems experience is always a big bonus\nNice to have\nExposure to trading or other real-time decision domains\nPython for data or analytics work\nWhy this role\nHigh-load systems where milliseconds and correctness both matter, a senior team that moves fast without cutting corners, and platforms that control real physical and financial outcomes.
