Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) functions. This role is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Excel and QuickBooks Online and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances
• Handle accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices
• Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, and credit card transactions)
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist with month-end closing tasks and reporting
• Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Generate basic financial reports using Excel and QuickBooks Online
• Support general administrative and accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in A/R, A/P, or general accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, formulas, basic reporting)
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
