This role ensures compliance with WSIB, human rights, and employment legislation while supporting employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nWSIB & Disability Management\nManage WSIB claims from injury reporting through claim closure.\nComplete and submit required WSIB documentation, including Form 7.\nComplete Short-term disability forms for the union employees.\nCoordinate long-term disability (LTD), and medical leave cases.\nMaintain communication with employees, healthcare providers, insurers, and WSIB representatives.\nMonitor claim costs, trends, and case progress while maintaining confidential records.\nReturn-to-Work & Accommodation\nDevelop, implement, and monitor modified work and return-to-work plans.\nReview medical restrictions and functional abilities information.\nFacilitate accommodation plans in compliance with Human Rights legislation.\nConduct return-to-work meetings with employees and supervisors.\nCompliance & Reporting\nEnsure compliance with WSIA, OHSA, ESA, Human Rights Code, collective agreements, and company policies.\nTrack and report injury, disability, lost time, and claims management metrics.\nSupport audits, claims reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEmployee & Management Support\nProvide guidance on injury reporting, accommodation, and return-to-work processes.\nParticipate in Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities.\nSupport workplace injury prevention and employee wellness programs.\nQualifications\nDiploma or Degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Disability Management, Kinesiology, Nursing, or a related discipline.\n3-5 years of experience managing WSIB claims, disability management, and return-to-work programs.\nExperience in manufacturing and unionized environments is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of WSIB legislation, disability management, accommodation requirements, and employment legislation.\nProfessional certifications such as CDMP, CRTWC, CRSP, or related credentials are considered an asset.\nKey Competencies\nCase Management & Return-to-Work Coordination\nLegislative Compliance\nCommunication & Conflict Resolution\nAnalytical & Organizational Skills\nConfidentiality & Professional Judgment\nWorking Conditions: Office-based with regular presence on the manufacturing floor.
