From actuator electronics and sensing systems to power distribution and embedded control hardware, we develop the systems that enable our robots to operate safely, reliably, and at scale.\nThis team works across the full product lifecycle-from early architecture and prototyping through production and field deployment. We partner closely with firmware, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to bring ambitious robotic systems into the real world.\nYour Charter\nDesign and deliver the electrical systems that power NEO's capabilities. You will own critical hardware subsystems from architecture through production, ensuring they meet demanding requirements for performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost.\nAs an Electrical Engineer, you'll help bridge the gap between concept and deployment, making key technical decisions that directly impact the performance and scalability of our humanoid robots.\nKey Outcomes\nDeliver robust electrical subsystems that meet performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturing requirements across development and production programs\n\nSuccessfully bring up and validate new hardware platforms, reducing development risk and accelerating product milestones\n\nDrive design quality through rigorous reviews, validation testing, and implementation of electrical engineering best practices\n\nPartner across disciplines to ensure electrical systems integrate seamlessly with firmware, controls, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes\n\nSupport successful production ramp and field deployment through scalable designs, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong system-level thinking with the ability to balance performance, cost, reliability, safety, and manufacturability\n\nDeep expertise in electrical design, debugging, and hardware validation\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive complex technical challenges to resolution\n\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort working across hardware and software boundaries\n\nOwnership mindset with a bias toward execution, accountability, and continuous improvement\n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field\n\n5+ years of professional experience designing and shipping complex electrical systems\n\nStrong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design\n\nExperience designing, debugging, and validating hardware from schematic design through PCB bring-up\n\nHands-on experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and related tools\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience designing motor drives, power electronics, or actuator control systems\n\nExperience with robotic, electromechanical, or autonomous systems\n\nKnowledge of EMI/ESD mitigation, reliability engineering, and safety-critical hardware design\n\nExperience supporting products through manufacturing scale-up and production ramp\n\nFamiliarity with thermal design, fault-tolerant architectures, and high-power electronics\n\nWhat does a successful 1X Team Member look like?\nTeam members at 1X who thrive here are builders.
