When we do our job well, the line never stops.\nYour Charter\nOwn the material plan that keeps NEO production running. You will translate the build schedule into a reliable, time-phased supply plan for your commodities so the right parts arrive exactly when they are needed: no shortages stopping the line, and no excess inventory tying up cash as we ramp.\nKey Outcomes\nZero production line-down events caused by material shortages on the commodities you own.\n\nMRP data you can trust: BOMs, lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, and on-hand balances kept accurate so system recommendations can be acted on without manual rework.\n\nInventory health within targets: inventory turns and excess/obsolete exposure held to the targets set with Finance as production volume ramps.\n\nImproved supplier on-time, in-full delivery, driven by clear forecasts, accurate POs, and timely expedite/de-expedite actions.\n\nEngineering changes that land on schedule: ECO cut-ins executed with a clear phase-in/phase-out plan and minimal scrap.\n\nA weekly clear-to-build and shortage view that gives Manufacturing and leadership an accurate picture of what can be built, and when.\n\nKey Competencies\nMRP fluency and systems thinking: understands how BOMs, lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock interact, and can spot when the system is wrong.\n\nProactive problem solver: sees shortages weeks out and resolves them before they reach the line.\n\nStrong analytical skills: builds and maintains planning models in Excel/Sheets and lets data drive decisions.\n\nClear, direct communicator: keeps suppliers, buyers, manufacturing, and engineering aligned, and escalates early with options rather than problems.\n\nThrives in change: comfortable planning around evolving designs, new suppliers, and a ramping build schedule.\n\nHigh ownership and attention to detail: treats the material plan as their own and follows every open item to closure.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n3-5 years of materials planning, production planning, or supply planning experience in a manufacturing environment (hardware, electronics, automotive, aerospace, or similar).\n\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nHands-on experience running MRP in an ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).\n\nAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, building planning models).\n\nWorking knowledge of BOM structures, lead-time management, and inventory control fundamentals.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supporting an NPI-to-production ramp at a hardware startup or high-growth company.\n\nExperience planning electromechanical components such as motors, actuators, PCBAs, batteries, and machined or injection-molded parts.\n\nAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP).\n\nExperience with global suppliers, including Asia-based supply chains and long-lead components.\n\nFamiliarity with PLM systems (e.g., Arena, Duro) and engineering change processes.\n\nExposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) for planning analytics.\n\nWhat does a successful 1X Team Member look like\nTeam members at 1X who thrive here are builders.
