We’re scaling, we’re hiring with intention, and we need people who want to build something that will genuinely change how humans spend their time safely creating abundance for all.\nAbout the Team:\nThe Prototyping team turns ideas into physical reality.\nWe work closely with Industrial Design and Engineering to rapidly develop, build, and evaluate the physical systems and components that make up NEO. Our work spans digital models, functional prototypes, mockups, fabrication, materials, and production-intent assemblies.\nWe are looking for a Fabrication Technician to support hands-on work across the Prototyping shop. You will help assemble and finish physical prototypes, including sanding parts, while stepping in where projects need another set of hands.\nThis is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes care with physical work and is comfortable moving between projects as the team’s needs change.\nYour Charter: Support the build and finishing of prototypes across the Prototyping team. You will help turn parts and designs into physical builds through assembly, sanding, and practical shop support.\nKey Outcomes:\nAssemble prototype parts and components with attention to fit and finish.\n\nSand and finish parts to support prototype builds and evaluation.\n\nProvide hands-on support across projects as build priorities change.\n\nRaise fit, finish, or assembly issues you notice so the team can address them in the next iteration.\n\nKeep shared work areas and tools organized and ready for the next build.\n\nKey Competencies:\nCraftsmanship: You take care with assembly and finishing work and notice details that affect the physical result.\n\nAdaptability: You can move between tasks and support different projects as priorities change.\n\nCollaboration: You work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to get physical builds completed and share what you learn from them.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nHands-on experience assembling and finishing physical parts or prototypes.\n\nAbility to perform sanding and other detail-oriented finishing work.\n\nComfort working in a shared shop and supporting multiple projects.\n\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience supporting prototype fabrication or model making.\n\nExperience spotting assembly or finish issues during physical builds and communicating them to a team.\n\nWhat does a successful 1X Team Member look like:\nTeam members at 1X who thrive here are builders.
