Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations, the team identifies issues early, drives containment, and helps improve product quality as we scale from prototypes to high-volume production.\nYour Charter\nAs a Quality Engineering Technician, you will own incoming inspection activities and support the identification, containment, and resolution of quality issues across our manufacturing operations. Your work will ensure that only qualified materials enter production while providing the data and technical insight needed to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing processes.\nKey Outcomes\nMaintain timely incoming inspection and material disposition activities to prevent production disruptions.\n\nDrive containment and escalation of nonconforming materials, ensuring issues are clearly documented and resolved.\n\nDeliver accurate inspection data and technical findings that enable engineering and supplier quality improvements.\n\nSupport rapid root cause investigations by providing clear problem statements, inspection results, and failure analysis data.\n\nMaintain inspection equipment, tooling, and calibration records to ensure reliable and repeatable quality assessments.\n\nKey Competencies\nStrong hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in manufacturing environments.\n\nAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and manufacturing documentation.\n\nDetail-oriented approach with a high standard for documentation accuracy and quality execution.\n\nAbility to communicate technical findings clearly across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.\n\nSelf-motivated and capable of managing priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n3+ years of hands-on quality, manufacturing, or engineering technician experience.\n\nExperience performing inspections and investigating quality issues in a production environment.\n\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.\n\nExperience using inspection and test equipment such as calipers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, or similar tools.\n\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supporting robotics, automation, consumer electronics, automotive, or other electromechanical products.\n\nExperience diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.\n\nFamiliarity with quality management systems, MRB processes, and nonconformance tracking.\n\nWhat does a successful 1X Team Member look like\nTeam members at 1X who thrive here are builders.
