Our August 2021 acquisition of Home Instead has created a global company that's revolutionizing how society cares for older adults, their families, and Care Professionals.\nThe Honor Care Platform combines local care and the most advanced technology to bring the highest quality care to more aging adults.\nGrow at Honor as part of a united team where everyone shows up authentically, shares ideas bravely, and solves complex problems!\nAbout the Team & Role\nWe're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead Platform Engineering, a small team of highly senior (Staff+) engineers who build and operate the infrastructure and core services powering Honor's Care Platform, including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and developer tooling, reliability and operations, security foundations, and shared architecture.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role. You'll own Platform's strategic roadmap and day-to-day execution, while staying technical enough to set direction, challenge your engineers' thinking, and know when to go deep yourself versus lean on their expertise.\nWhat we are looking for in a candidate:\n8+ years of professional software/platform engineering experience, including at least 3+ years directly managing engineers at Senior or Staff level within a platform, infrastructure, or SRE organization at a product-centric company.\nEnough hands-on depth to be technically credible with Staff+ engineers: comfortable reasoning about cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform, or similar), Kubernetes-based production systems, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar), and service-to-service architecture even where you are not the deepest expert in a given domain.\nA track record of creating leverage from highly autonomous senior engineers through context, challenge, feedback, and development not task management. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company.
