The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience designing, verifying, and integrating state-of-the-art FPGA systems and embedded processing solutions for RF applications. In this role, you will work closely with a talented, multi-disciplinary engineering team to design and manufacture novel RF systems for a variety of platforms in a rapid development environment.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and verification of RTL modules for FPGA applications\nInitial test and bring-up of custom FPGA circuit cards, including on-board peripherals such as memory, Ethernet, and sensors\nAutomation of test environment (up to and including hardware-in-the-loop testing), lab equipment, and measurement devices\nCapturing design tradeoffs, state machine flow, system address maps, and block diagrams\nBasic Qualifications\nBS degree in Computer or Electrical engineering\n2+ years of technical experience\nFamiliarity implementing FPGA and microprocessor designs on embedded hardware\nExperience working with latest generation state of the art Xilinx/Intel Parts and associated tool sets (Vivado, Quartus)\nUnderstanding of common digital communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)\nGood written and oral communication skills\nCollaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization\nOrganized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment\nUS Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future US Security Clearance will be required)\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nMS degree in Computer or Electrical engineering\n3+ years of experience\nExperience implementing complex DSP algorithms on FPGAs\nProficiency with design automation, scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl, Matlab)\nKnowledge of advanced firmware verification testbench development (UVM, System Verilog)\nSkilled with advanced high-speed Verilog/VHDL designs including high-speed memory interfaces (DDR4, HBM) and high-speed SerDes IO and protocols (100GE, JESD, Interlaken)\nUnderstanding of digital and mixed signal PCB design including signal integrity analysis, FPGA sizing estimation, and IO selection\nAerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience\nCurrent/Active Secret Security Clearance\nITAR REQUIREMENTS: \nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
