Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques which allow power-hungry systems to do more with less. \nAbout the Role \nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Agent to support our direct material requirements across multiple programs and projects. You will lead sourcing and procurement activities for technically complex direct materials focused on prototype through production. \nThis role is expected to operate across one or more technical commodities, including sheet metal, CNC machined components, PCBA contract manufacturing, electronic components, and/or harnessing. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and suppliers to understand technical requirements, identify capable sources, execute competitive sourcing activities, negotiate commercial terms, and manage supplier performance throughout the procurement and production lifecycle. \nThe ideal candidate combines strong procurement fundamentals with sufficient technical knowledge to interpret drawings, understand manufacturing capabilities and processes, and effectively interface with engineers and suppliers. You should be comfortable evaluating supplier capabilities and determining the best sourcing fit based on technical capability, quality, schedule, capacity, and total cost. \nWhat You'll Do \nLead RFI/RFP/RFQ activities for direct materials across multiple programs and projects. \nExecute and manage purchase orders for prototype and production requirements using Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements. \nAbility to interact with and download source files within Solidworks and/or Altium. \nProcure technical commodities including sheet metal, CNC machined components, PCBA contract manufacturing, electronic components, harnessing, and/or other commodities as assigned. \nReview technical requirements and work directly with Engineering and suppliers to identify appropriate manufacturing and sourcing solutions. \nEvaluate suppliers based on manufacturing capabilities, technical fit, capacity, quality, schedule, and commercial competitiveness. \nNegotiate pricing, lead times, NRE/tooling, minimum order quantities, and other commercial requirements to achieve optimal cost and schedule outcomes. \nSupport NPI and prototype-to-production transitions. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings, quality, supplier performance, and on-time delivery. \nMaintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready procurement records. \nAssist with supplier risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning. \nLead supplier open-order and performance/scorecard reviews for critical suppliers. \nLead negotiations on price and general terms and conditions. \nConduct supplier capability assessments and supplier site audits, as necessary. \nAble to work efficiently in ERP systems and with the suite of MS Office software. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nBasic Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. \nSignificant direct-material procurement experience within a startup / high growth manufacturing environment. \nExperience working directly with contract manufacturers throughout procurement and production phases. \nStrong experience with supplier development, supplier management, negotiations, and sourcing. \nAble to articulate and demonstrate procurement best practices. \nExperience drafting and negotiating agreements, including SOWs and MSAs. \nKnowledge of AS9100 standards. \nUnderstand and influence the procure-to-pay process, including working directly with AP and resolving invoicing issues. \nExperience developing and improving procurement processes, procedures, and work instructions. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nLow ego with a high bias for action. \nCollaborative and capable of working effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and other functions. \nHighly organized and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. \nWhat Success Looks Like \nYou'll help our products get built on time by reducing procurement cycle times, improving availability of material, preventing critical shortages, and increasing the efficiency of the procure-to-pay process. \nIf you enjoy contributing directly to product success, developing suppliers, negotiating complex procurements, and owning requirements from initial sourcing through payment, this is the role for you. \nITAR REQUIREMENTS: \nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
