This role is ideal for a planning professional looking for flexible hours, remote work, and meaningful impact in communities across Texas.\nQualifications:\n2+ years of experience in planning, zoning, land-use review, or development services\nStrong understanding of zoning ordinances, land development codes, and comprehensive planning\nExperience reviewing site plans, zoning applications, or permits\nFamiliarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) is a strong plus\nBachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or related field preferred\nTech savvy and comfortable using cloud-based software and workflow tools\nResponsibilities:\nReview zoning applications, site plans, and land-use proposals for compliance with municipal codes\nPrepare clear, concise review comments and recommendations for applicants and jurisdictions\nConduct zoning research, code interpretation, and parcel-level analysis\nSupport municipalities with development review workflows and customer service inquiries\nAssist with long-range planning projects, zoning amendments, and policy updates when needed\nCoordinate with internal plan reviewers, inspectors, and jurisdictional stakeholders\nMaintain records and update project status through Aoka’s software platform\nAttend virtual meetings with cities, developers, and planning teams as required\nCompensation & Work Details:\n$40-$50 per hour, depending on experience\nUp to 5% company match with 401(k)\nRemote role with flexible scheduling\nApply Now to Join Our Growing Team!\nAbout Aoka\nAoka is a third-party municipal services provider serving federal, state, and local governments with code compliance, inspections, and consulting.
