Join us.\nThe Sustaining Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in managing nonconformances, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to product and process specifications.\nThe position partners closely with Operations and Product Engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues, minimize risk, and sustain a high level of product and process integrity.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the review and disposition non-conforming material, ensuring proper documentation, risk assessment, and timely resolution\nLead and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including root cause analysis, implementation, and effectiveness verification\nManage quality STOPS/SLAMS as needed to contain risk and protect product quality\nConduct and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits; ensure timely closure of audit findings\nTrack and report key quality system metrics, including nonconformance trends, CAPA effectiveness, and audit performance\nReview product and process specifications to ensure compliance and proper interpretation in manufacturing\nEnsure adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)\nSupport continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, and documentation\nCollaborate with Operations and Engineering to address quality issues and prevent recurrence\nTrain and guide personnel on quality requirements, procedures, and compliance expectations\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field)\n3 - 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality systems, or manufacturing quality\nStrong knowledge of nonconformance management, CAPA processes, and audits\nPreferred Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of SA&C production processes\nFamiliarity with quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)\nExperience with quality management systems and document control process\nSkilled in\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams\nHigh attention to detail and strong process discipline\nWethrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
