Ghost has offices in Los Angeles and New York.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to be a strategic finance partner to our business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on role that owns the operating model, rolling forecasts, daily cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting and variance analysis, while supporting our capital markets needs.\nYou bring strong analytical rigor, sound business judgment, and experience across capital markets and hands-on operating environments. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Product & Design (EPD), Sales, Operations and the executive team to turn financial insight into business decisions. \nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nPartner with finance leadership on annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts, driving cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Ops, and EPD\nOwn monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and operational reviews with leadership\nOwn the bottoms-up 3-statement operating model with driver-based assumptions and scenario planning\nBuild and deliver executive and board-level reporting packages\nCapital Markets & Treasury\nSupport Series D fundraising, including investor materials and process management\nManage Ghost’s debt capital stack which includes PO financing facility, A/R financing facility, and term loan: draw management, covenant tracking, and reporting compliance\nMaintain the rolling 13-week cash flow forecast; monitor covenant headroom against the cash floor weekly and escalate liquidity risks proactively to the CFO\nLead financial due diligence for investors, lenders, and strategic partners\nAI & Data-Driven Decision Making\nBuild forecasting models and automated workflows that generate variance commentary, reporting narratives, and dashboards\nHelp design a company-wide KPI framework with automated monitoring and alerting, built on a single, trusted source of data\nBring rigor, transparency, and sound judgment to financial decision-making in a fast-moving environment\nStrategic Finance & Business Partnership\nPartner with the CEO, CFO, and Board on strategic planning, capital allocation, and corporate development\nSupport capital allocation analyses, strategic partnership opportunities, GTM strategies, and other business initiatives\nQualifications \nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CFA preferred\n5+ years of finance experience, including a minimum of 3 years at a bulge bracket investment bank with capital markets execution experience (or equivalent)\n2+ years of FP&A experience at a Series B or later-stage retail or CPG company preferred\nExperience supporting Series C+ equity raises and managing debt facilities, working capital financing, and treasury operations preferred\nProficiency in Excel financial modeling, with hands-on experience in NetSuite or Rillet\nExperience with 3-statement modeling, scenario analysis, and driver-based financial frameworks\nCPG or retail industry experience a plus\nHighly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and move quickly\nTakes ownership of outcomes and collaborates well across teams\nCurious and driven, with a bias toward action and a track record of delivering results\nThis role will be based in our LA office. Our total compensation for this position can range from $175,000 - $215,000 base salary + bonus + equity.
