POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible forperforming a variety of Human Resources administrative functions to ensure consistency in all HR processes. Additional duties will be to contribute to and support the corporation’s quality initiatives by encouraging team and individual contributions toward the Company’s improvement efforts.
Requirements
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of college level education in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proven ability to maintain high confidentiality
- At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources Administration highly preferred
- Must be extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Familiarity and knowledge of EEO guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and management
- Computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with ability to learn additional programs and navigate the HR database
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting
- Conducts or assists with drug test and background check process
- Includes issuance of background check forms to applicants, forwarding of information to background check vendor, reference checks
- Sets up and coordinates pre-employment drug test
- Acquires drug test and background check results and communicates them to the Recruiter and HRBP
- Administers or assists with pre-employment skills testing to applicants
New Hires
- Conducts or assists with orientations (for both regular and temporary employees), including facility tours
- Sends required communication in preparation for the orientation to new hires, presenters, etc. in a timely manner
- Creates New Hire packets plus orders and prepares Company gifts
- Assists employees in accurately completing required forms, such as I9’s, W4’s, etc.
File Maintenance
- Maintains filing of documentation in employee files (active, benefits, terminated, etc.)
- Ensures all files are accurately placed in proper locations at the right time
- Performs audits for I9’s, health cards, education, training, etc. and takes action on any issues identified
- Maintains training records in ADP
Employment
- Updates ADP for new hires and internal job transfers/promotions
- Manages 90 day evaluations for employees, to include supervisor reminders and saving/filing evaluations
- Responsible for Employee Badge system, to include creation of new badges, replacement badges and ensuring all supplies are maintained at proper inventory levels
- Manages and assigns employee lockers and radios
- Maintains the Company Organization Chart
- Prepares or assists with termination paperwork
- Coordinates or assists with scheduling of education classes, webinars, etc.
- Assists in arranging Company and HR-sponsored events, such as blood drives, etc.
- Prepares and maintains HR reports and metrics
- Posts applicable items on Bulletin Boards in break room and within HR area; ensures boards are kept current and contain relevant information for employee use
- Ensures HR forms and supplies are kept at proper inventory levels, to include “give-aways” for recruitment fairs, company HR-sponsored events, locks for lockers, and other related items
- Coordinate and reserve travel for employees and candidates traveling to or from our facility (for interviews, conferences, etc.)
- Back-up to Receptionist position. This includes coverage for scheduled breaks and meal periods along with coverage for unscheduled absences and scheduled vacations. Responsibilities include answering the phone, taking messages, greeting walk-in visitors and applicants, and other assigned responsibilities to the Receptionist position.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information obtained during the course and scope of their job
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
