The primary assignment for this position will be EHS support of a manufacturing facility and personnel to proactively manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of accountability and care throughout the organization.\nPlease note: This position requires 100% in-office presence and does not offer remote work. \nKey Responsibilities:\nRegulatory Compliance & Risk Management\nEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local EHS regulations including WorkSafeBC, Canada Labour Code, and environmental permitting requirements.\nComplete risk assessments, audits, and inspections, draft reports of findings including proactive identification of hazards and implementation of robust mitigation strategies.\nIdentifying improvement opportunities for EHS programs; develop actionable plans that are effectively managed to completion.\nSafety Culture & Continuous Improvement\nComplete complex incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.\nTraining, Communication & Reporting\nMaintain accurate and timely documentation of EHS policies, records, inspections, and compliance reports.\nPrepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics aligned with the EHS training matrix\nQualifications:\n5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial or electrical environments\nBachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field required\nOFA Level 2 (minimum) highly desired\nExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nOutstanding written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively\nExcellent follow-through\nAble to interpret regulations and implement requirements in the work environment\nAdditional Skills:\nKnowledge and broad background with safety and health programs including machine guarding, LOTO, working at heights, powered industrial truck\nAbility to analyze information, develop and deliver training programs, create reports and proven progressive experience to offer recommendations for continuous improvement\nExcellent incident investigation skills with proven ability to identify root and contributing causes\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software systems\nCapability to present information effectively to diverse audiences and stakeholders while responding to questions from groups of managers, employees and the leadership team\nPhysical Requirements\nPhysically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift to 50 pounds.\nCompensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
