Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.\nResponsibilities and Tasks\nTo Manage Subcontracts and provide direction/guidance for the Purchasing Department.\nAssist Buyers in determining priorities for materials and services in support of US Government and Commercial customers.\nTo create Requests for Proposals (RFP) in support of Programs in response to customer requirements.\nRepresents the Company in negotiations\nPlaces calls or Releases against Subcontracts and tracks performance against Prime Contracts.\nReviews System for receipt of units. Once found places the order, enters the Purchase Order (PO), prints a hardcopy, and ensures the Acknowledgements.\nSupports Programs and Operations with Prices, Sources, and turnaround time as needed to further and increase the business base.\nPerform all the duties of a Buyer as needed to support the Company.\nMaintains all documentation to support Subcontracts and current status on units being repaired at Subcontracts.\nKnowledge (Education/License/Certification, Prior Experience)\nBachelor’s Degree with 2 to 4 years of experience\nAssociate’s degree with 4 to 6 years of experience\nSkills and Abilities\nTo understand the Federal Acquisition Regulation System (FARS) and have the ability to differentiate between FARS and the acquisition of commercial items.
