What We Need

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to ensure 2K Technology delivers the physical and cloud infrastructure capabilities critical to our next generation of titles.

2K’s studios and Publishing teams rely on 2K Technology infrastructure to perform consistently, reliably, globally, and cost-effectively at scale - whether they use solutions built and managed internally, provided by a partner, or supplied via vendor. Likewise, our central technology teams require robust, shared infrastructure to maximize the value they too deliver to the rest of 2K. The strategy you lead will ensure the success of all these endeavors.

What You Will Do

•       Champion the vision and strategy for 2K Technology’s practices in cloud infrastructure, physical infrastructure, and developer tools. You will develop and execute these strategies in close coordination with stakeholders and peer leaders. You will ensure that our internal teams deeply understand and anticipate the diverse needs of our studio and Publishing customers while moving 2K toward a consistent, efficient, and robust technology foundation.
•       Lead through influence to align stakeholders, partners, and teams to the vision. Through strong communication and reliable delivery, you will inspire trust and confidence in 2K Technology’s ability to solve on behalf of its customers. You will advocate proactively on behalf of your customers, your teams, and the rest of our central technology organization.
•       Form productive, positive partnerships with leaders across our Infrastructure organization, including SRE and Technical Operations. Through these relationships, you will execute on shared opportunities to extend our capabilities, improve operational discipline, and advance our central tech strategy.
•       Work closely with peers in engineering and program management to plan effectively, validate assumptions, and deliver high-quality outcomes for customers. You will contribute to our shared understanding of what good looks like across multiple dimensions of product and technical quality.
•       Requirements capture, definition, and validation; roadmapping; competitive analyses; customer interviews; strategic planning; KPI development and reporting.

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit

•       7-10+ years in product or project management, developing and delivering technical software products.
•       Background in physical and cloud infrastructure as a product, project, or engineering leader. You have opinions on how to deliver scalable, fault-tolerant, and observable production systems to a global organization, and on how best to productize development and delivery best practices. You have experience aligning others to the vision and accelerating the great ideas of others.
•       Strong oral and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail. You have experience presenting to senior management and key stakeholders to drive decisions and win buy-in for your ideas. You excel at earning trust and are comfortable saying “no” - and can align your audience on why it’s the right answer. At the same time, you are diplomatic, empathetic, and appreciative of differing perspectives: peers enjoy productive partnership with you even in times of disagreement.
•       Enthusiastic about building products, organizations, and culture. You thrive in unstructured but are excited about creating the structures we require to succeed. You remain composed and effective under pressure and navigate high-velocity change with stability and focus. You champion 2K values and help others to grow.
•       Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
•       Passion for gaming.

Bonus Points

•       Experience in AAA game publishing or development
•       Experience working with game console, PC, and/or mobile platform partners

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, California at the start of employment is expected to be between $169,100 and $250,280 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective businessconsiderations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
