If you're interested in the job and think you have what it takes to work at 2K, we encourage you to apply!\nWhat You Will Do\n Design and develop robust, scalable, and highly performant backend microservices and APIs.\n Own the maintenance and evolution of key service domains - ensuring reliability, performance, and alignment with long-term technical strategy.\n Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and game teams to translate complex requirements into clear technical deliverables and milestones.\n Optimize infrastructure and runtime costs to deliver a seamless player experience while maintaining operational efficiency.\n Continuously reduce technical debt by driving refactoring efforts, automating workflows, and modernizing legacy systems.\nWhat You Bring\n 3-8+ years of experience designing and building backend systems and microservices using Go (Golang) or Java.\n Strong understanding of transport protocols (HTTP, gRPC) and API design best practices.\n Proficiency with both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.\n Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD).\n Solid grasp of distributed systems concepts and microservice design patterns.\n Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.\n Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, JWT)\n Understanding of secure coding best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).\n Demonstrated ownership mindset and product-oriented approach to problem solving, including communication and collaboration\n Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience\nBonus Items\n Passion for gaming and building technology that powers player experiences.\n Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.\n Experience developing online service platforms or backend systemsfor AAA games.\n Bonus points for hands-on experience building microservices with Go (Golang).\n Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.\nAs an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to ensuring that qualified individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform their essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
