A strong OS background is preferred due to the many migration assessments and implementations required by the position. Experience with Azure is a must, along with flexible and creative analytical skills to fit the solution to the customer needs.\nResponsibilities\nWork as a DBA for multiple customers, helping with Database Migrations, High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, SQL and Windows Clustering solutions, Monitoring, Backup/Recovery solutions, and Performance Tuning including remediation on performance blockers\nManage multiple long-term database (Azure data services) projects at the same time\nAble to scope, plan, implement, and document and/or present a solution to the customer\nProvide cost effective Azure platforms to meet customer requirements\nBe able to work with Development, Test, and Production environments to support customer requirements at each level of work\nAssist with Security definitions and roles for various users in the environments and support Azure Infrastructure team in provisioning data services in Azure cloud\nManage client expectations with regards to scope, cost, and timeline.\nAuthor high quality project documentation and other project artifacts, including written case studies detailing use cases and project specifics\nBe an effective technical mentor to more junior level teammates.\nDeliver complex projects on-time and within budget, proactively identifying and mitigating gaps and risks.\nExpand your knowledge in multiple tools and technologies.\nFoster a problem-solving culture that resolves issues through collaboration and partnerships with other parts of the organization.\nSupport internal 3Cloud objectives that help advance data services design and techniques.\nSupport the Sales Team on Presales efforts to define scope estimates for most projects when bandwidth allows.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in computer, engineering, data science or a related field; or equivalent work experience\nHas the ability to work both strategically and tactically in different customer environments.\nMust be EXTREMELY detail oriented and self-directed\nMust be able to produce high-quality documentation for both internal and external distribution\nMust have multiple years working with a major RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server) - preference given to deep experience with Microsoft products\nShould have done a few databases migration from different cloud platform/or on-prem to Azure.\nModerate experience with OS clustering concepts and technologies.\nUnderstanding of security roles and how to implement database security\nAdvanced level experience at the implementation and appropriate use of the following HA/DR technologies: Always On AG, Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring\nAdvanced level experience with database objects/stored procedures\nAdvanced level experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and trouble shooting.\nHave a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure solutions and the delivery/execution of how they are implemented using IaC (Bicep or Terraform)\nDrive to maintain knowledge of the latest technologies and how they may impact existing 3Cloud offerings\nUnderstanding of cloud ecosystem and leading-edge cloud emerging technologies.\nPerformance analysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniques.\nStrong analytical problem-solving ability.\nStrong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.\nSelf-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a virtual project team\nAdditional Preferred Experience:\nYou have over 2 years of experience in the following:\nDesigning and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments\nImplementing data architectures to support a variety of data formats and structures including structured, semi-structured and unstructured data\nImplementing multiple full life-cycle data warehouses\nUnderstanding of data architectures required to support data integration processing\nData modeling technologies such as ER/Studio, ER/Win or similar\nMicrosoft Azure Data Platform services including Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL database, Logic Apps, APIs\nData profiling and creation of source to target mappings\nAbility to provision and configure Azure data service resources\nFull-time employment \nRemote in Philippines\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
